The Husqvarna company has been around forever - literally! It was founded in Sweden in the year 1689 ( no, that was not a typo). For any company to last through the centuries, it has to be providing a good product. Recently, Husqvarna entered the lawn tractor market with a variety of solid models to choose from.

Husqvarna tractors are both stylish and laden with features. Sporting a distinctive ‘Swedish Style’, these machines are painted the distinctive Husqvarna orange. Few manufacturers off more models to choose from, so finding the right tractor for the job is easy. The Husqvarna line is considered mid priced to top of the line in cost and features.

Many of the Husqvarna lawn tractors offer triple option discharge, mulch,or rear bagging. The deck cutting height is adjusted manually using a lever.

The front axles on the majority of the Husqvarna tractors is fabricated of cast iron. This is the sturdiest material available for a lawn tractor front axle.

The deck design on all the Huqvarna lawn tractors feature the ‘step through’ design. This eliminates any obstructions in front of the drivers seat. This allows for easy entry and exit from the tractor without the need to lift feet and legs over a raised portion of the frame.

Husqvarna lawn tractors are available in 2 model series - the Homeowner and Landowner. The Landowner models are more expensive, and are equipped with larger engines and heavy duty transmissions. There are six Homeowner models available, and seven models in the Landowner series.
The Homeowner series offers a choice between a single cylinder Briggs and Stratton side valve engine; Briggs and Stratton twin cylinder overhead valve (OHV) engines; Kohler single cylinder side valve engine; or a Kohler twin cylinder OHV engine. Horsepower ranges from 13.5 HP ( single cylinder Brigs and Stratton) to 25 HP (Kohler twin cylinder). All engines except the 13.5 HP Briggs and Stratton feature a pressurized oil system, with a replaceable oil filter.

The less expensive models have a manual PTO used to engage the cutting blades. The more expensive versions in this series feature an electric PTO, which is activated by flipping a switch. Cutting deck width varies from 38” to 54”.

Count on spending between $1500.00 to $2300.00 for the tractors in the Homeowner series.

There are sevenLandowner models offered by Husqvarna. The engines offered are at the upper power range for lawn tractors, and vary from 20 to 27 HP. All feature twin cylinder design, and all are manufactured by Briggs and Stratton. All engines feature a pressurized oil system, with a replaceable oil filter. Every Landowner tractor is equipped with a foot pedal controlled hydrostatic transmission.

This series feature an electric PTO as standard equipment, which is activated by flipping a switch. Cutting deck width varies from 42” to 54”, and comes with anti scalp wheels.

Count on spending between $2000.00 to $3500.00 for the tractors in the Landowner series.

Most customers that purchase a Husqvarna lawn tractor buy another in the future, based on high satisfaction.
