Peachtree Reel Mower company is located in Chamblee, Georgia. This is a smaller company, but the products they produce are top-notch. The describe their mowers as ‘Trimmer Reel Mowers’, but these great machines would be suitable for mowing any small lawn, and not just trimming the edges of a larger lawn.

Be aware that no reel mower will cut tall grasses and weeds efficiently. For lawn areas that are consistently taller than 3-4 inches, a rotary type lawn mower will provide better performance. If you wish to maintain a short, well manicured lawn that looks great, there is no substitute for a power reel mower.

Peachtree reel mowers use the ‘front throw’ design. This has a ‘sweeping action’ in the lawn, as the bedknife leads the way in the front of the mower. The grass clippings are discharged to the font of the mower, keeping the flow of grass away from the operator’s feet.

The frames on all models is heavy duty steel with ball bearings on the wheels and reel. All of the grass catchers are made of metal.

Peachtree reel mowers offer 3 models - a 20” homeowner, a 20” heavy duty, and a 25” heavy duty.

The Peachtree 20” homeowner is equipped with either a 3 or 3.5 HP Briggs and Stratton engine, or a 4 HP Honda engine. The reel contains either 5 or 7 cutting blades.

The 20” Heavy Duty mower is also equipped with the same Briggs and Stratton/ Honda engines of it’s cheaper cousin. The roller has been upgraded to ball bearings, and the main drive is chain instead of a belt.

Top of the line for Peachtree reel mower is the 25” heavy duty model. The engine is upgraded to a 5 HP Briggs and Stratton, or a 5.5 HP Honda four cycle engine. The reel is 5 or 7 blades, and the catcher remains the standard all metal construction. The main drive features a chain instead of a belt.

Peachtree Trimmer Mowers are a very good machine. They are not as well known as some of the larger manufactures, but the quality is evident. This company continues to build a solid reputation, one trimmer reel mower at a time.
